Responsibilities include:

Oversees center operations and administration Supervises staff and directly or indirectly supervises volunteers. Manage all peer supports and peer activities, and works with staff and peers to maintain project timelines Oversees strategic planning, project development and implementation Oversees data collection and submission of reports Assists with budget development and fiscal management Assists with grant writing as needed Engagement of community and key stakeholder partnerships Representation of center at local and statewide meetings and conferences Keeping abreast of the national recovery movement and its impact on the recovery support center and its peers Educating the community on the impact of stigma of addiction Networking with the MA Recovery Support Centers and MOAR (MA Organization for Addiction Recovery)

This position works closely with the Dept. of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, Regional Contract Manager, Level of Care Coordinator and the network of recovery centers and programs across the state and country.

 Qualifications:

The Director must:

Embrace and work in a culturally and linguistically diverse recovery community Support all paths to recovery and have a minimum of 5 years of solid recovery Have a comprehensive understanding of substance addiction and recovery Communicate effectively orally and in writing Have working knowledge of community building and planning Have proven skills in critical thinking, leadership and organization, as well as strong interpersonal boundaries Have better than average experience using a computer and required software Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred Have experience and knowledge of the Westfield community, its organizations and service providers

Travel Requirements: Statewide travel is required for meetings, trainings and conferences.  Occasionally there may be trips to other New England states for annual conferences or trainings.
