Title: Program Coordinator-WCGS Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Academic Programs Operations Work Days: Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $29.95 - $34.07 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices **Position Summary** Under supervision of Weill Cornell Graduate School (WCGS): (1) serves as liaison with, and provides primary programmatic support for, Directors, Co-Chairs, and faculty members of WCGS MS programs and (2) manages administrative aspects of student recruitment and interview days, student life, student tracking and course coordination, orientation, and general support for MS students. **Job Responsibilities** + Manage application and recruitment process for the program in accordance with the Student Admissions Committee and WCGS guidelines. + Correspond with student applicants regarding admissions requirements, course offerings, program structure and faculty research interest. Works directly with program leadership, with oversight from WCGS. + Organize and manage recruitment activities for applicants. Develop personalized schedules for interviewees including interviews with faculty. + Oversee applicant tracking from initial application through acceptance and matriculation. Review applications and assist assessing strengths and potential issues for faculty Admissions Committee. + Serve as program point of contact for application CRM, Slate. Draft mailings and reports and collaborate with Educational Technology Department to build application, workflows, and forms. + May represent WCGS and the program at recruitment events and national conferences. + Assists with additional WCGS related administrative activities, including thesis formatting review, processing admissions materials and emails, assisting with commencement and convocation ceremonies, and other tasks requested by WCGS leadership. + Under guidance from faculty Program Directors, evaluates course status/need; develops and communicates quarterly course offerings to Registrar and students; assists faculty to develop focus groups to accompany courses. + Shepherd all new course applications through the WCGS process and ensure timely feedback, discussion and approval take place. + Advise students on curriculum issues, consulting with faculty as needed. Work directly with program faculty to request course teaching assistants and ensure honorarium deadlines are met. Counsel students on access to support and wellness services. + Oversee evaluation, examination, and other records for each student to evaluate and certify students' academic progress toward, and receipt of MS degree. Provides reports to program and WCGS as requested. + Report to and communicate with WCGS Dean and Vice Dean Program Directors regarding issues related to student progress. Counsel students on issues related to their progress and assess whether/how to involve program and/or school leadership. + Organize program event activity, including orientation, including budgeting, venue selection, agenda development, abstract submission and on-site coordination. + Manage annual budget. Track all expenses and work closely with Education finance team to ensure timely billing, student reimbursements and refunds are made. + Maintain and provide program data for recruiting, scholarships and donor relations.
