Job Title Program Coordinator II (Wellness in Houston - College of Business) Agency Prairie View A&M University Department College of Business | Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems Proposed Minimum Salary $3,929.90 monthly Job Location Prairie View, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Program Coordinator II, under general supervision, assist with coordinating and implementation and building new partnerships for the Wellness in Houston Program. This position will directly support the healthy initiative program. The program involves the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (Cooperative Extension Program), College of Business, College of Nursing and the College of Juvenile Justice and Psychology at Prairie View A&M University. T his position is funded by grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding. This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Responsibilities: + Manages the program deliverables, daily operations and the Extension Associates for the assigned program areas. + Works closely with the other Program Coordinators for the other Colleges, the Project Manager over the program and the leaders of the Colleges on the goals and objectives that contribute to the program. + Prepares reports and presentations on activities, programs and events. + Provides in-service training and support to Wellness in Houston Initiative program assistants and county staff; Participate in trainings, demonstrations, and county meetings as required by supervisor. + Submits data and documents to the Wellness in Houston Initiative funding agency and Cooperative Extension Program impact for interpretation and dissemination. + Prepares reports and presentations on activities, programs and event; Responsible for data submission to the Wellness in Houston Initiative funding agency and Cooperative Extension Program impact documents for interpretation and dissemination. + Helps train volunteers and other staff employees; Develops training materials and delivers trainings to communities. + Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree + Four years of related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Knowledge of word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Other Requirements: + This position will be required to commute to different sites as needed. + Must have stable access to internet. Computers will be provided by the College. + Will be required to work from Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and be able to work some weekends and evenings. + Will require travel and percentage of time is various. Preferred qualifications: + Four or more years of experience with a focus on, but not limited to, financial health, including financial literacy, entrepreneurship, budgeting, savings, and wellness education .
