A successful candidate will have experience with managing complex projects and databases including analyzing data and preparing reports on trends on highly confidential matters. This individual will have experience working with threat assessment and concerning behavior as well as experience working with a variety of constituents including students, faculty, staff and police departments. Responsibilities + Triage and Communication: Responsible for triaging initial reports of concerning behavior filed through tellsomebody.tamu.edu, telephone calls, e-mails, Real Response, or other reporting platforms. Assists threat assessment processes through screening or pre-interviews gathering information to support care and behavioral threat assessment processes. Creates and maintains timely records of triage processes, discussions, referrals, interventions and case outcomes. Analysis and collection of open-source behavioral background information related to individuals of concern including conducting research on publicly available digital footprints such as social media. Serve on the Special Situations Team (SST) representing Tell Somebody Report triage and related work for the team. + Program Coordination and Development: Analyze and prepare data driven reports describing trends related to concerning behavior reports. Coordinates with special situations threat team members’ operations, ad-hoc assessments and team trainings, and management of cases involving violence risk. Keep current on developments in the field of threat management, threat trends in higher education, and legal issues pertaining to higher education law, including FERPA and HIPAA restrictions. + Outreach: Partners with campus departments and offices on concerning behavior response efforts through educational programming delivery. Assists with development of behavioral threat assessment and management materials for the campus community. Assists with the coordination and mobilization of the Campus Community Response Team (CCST). Qualifications Required Education & Experience: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Two years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: + Certified Threat Manager certification. + Certified NTER Facilitator. + Project management experience. + Experience with behavioral threat assessment and management teams. + Experience within a higher education environment. + Experience with Student Affairs. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. + Verbal and written communication skills.
