Recruitment/Posting Title Program Coordinator I Job Category Staff & Executive - Administrative & Support Department Sch of Law-Nwk, Dean's Office Overview Posting Summary Rutgers University- Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for its law school, clinical program. The Rutgers Law School Clinical Program is a pioneer in clinical education where law student and attorneys provide legal information, assistance, and representation for low to moderate-income clients. All student clinical casework is principally supervised by full-time Rutgers Law faculty. The program coordinator will provide administrative assistance directly under the Director of Clinical Administration.

This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:

Assist the Director with overall clinical operations and management as well as assume a leadership role in the Director’s absence. Provide back up to clinic administrative staff and clinic students Administer reimbursements, purchase orders, and facility work orders from clinical faculty and staff. Handle expense management and travel arrangements of clinic faculty and staff. Assist the Director with event planning and office management. Assist the Director with semesterly registration efforts and recruitment. Coordinate and liaise with other departments within the law school and Rutgers University such as computer services, parking, facilities, finance, and procurement. Perform a variety of advanced word processing and spreadsheets on databases for standard reporting.

Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.
