Program Coordinator I, WFD

POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator I, Workforce Development (PC I WFD), supports our United States Department of Labor Workforce Development Grant and coordinates implementation of grant and activities that advance NAHC’s Workforce development goals.

This position provides administrative and community engagement support for both short- and long-term programs that inspire, educate and attract audiences from all walks of life. The successful candidate will be a community oriented, energetic individual who work closely with the Workforce Development Director and the Workforce Development team to support developing, actualizing, and operationalizing program vision.

The Native American Health Center is an accredited institution and adheres to the standards of excellence set forth by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and the Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Coordination
1. Responsible for coordinating the day to day functions of our Department of Labor Workforce Development 166 Native American Grant Program and providing program assistance with planning, implementing, and tracking projects.
2. Responsible for meeting project/program objectives, reporting and other compliance requirements in concert with department leadership, supervisor and program team.
3. Participate and coordinate community initiatives as needed to advance program development and expansion in concert with department leadership and supervisor.
4. Responsible for multiple aspects of program delivery including organizing, developing, implementing, and assessing activities.
5. Provide direct support for participants to reach their goal.
6. Responsible for promoting community events, groups, and other activities across multiple sites, and service counties through community outreach.
7. Assist with community meetings, workshops, groups and trainings as required for the grant project and ensure that these meetings operate in a timely and effective manner.
8. Participate in development of compelling agency and grant-related materials in partnership with department leads.
10. Support meaningful participation by community members in workforce development activities.
11. Represent the program in meetings, task forces, and partner collaborations.
12. Assist the Director of Workforce Development and the Workforce Development team to coordinate site and county visits.
13. Support administrative functions connected to program area such as check requisitions, purchase orders, etc. for any monies being spent out of the program grants.
14. Assist in the timely and accurate collection of data from community events, groups, and program activities.
15. Responsible for providing case management services and support within the Workforce Development program, ensuring effective coordination and assistance to participants in achieving their career and training goals.
16. Additionally, responsible for maintaining comprehensive file management system, including diligently tracking and assisting in gathering all required documents and items for each participant's file within the Workforce Development program.
 

General Duties
17. Member Care: Demonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensuring safe member practices.
18. Quality Improvement: Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards, when assigned.
19. Must maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretches.
20. Safety: Responsible for ensuring that all duties, responsibilities and operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved, including themselves.
21. Safety: Take appropriate corrective actions to address matters pertaining to employee health and safety that have been brought to their attention.
22. HIPAA: Keep all protected health information (PHI) confidential and abide by HIPAA guidelines for the release and disclosure of any PHI. Will report unauthorized use of disclosure of PHI immediately, to Site Director and HIPAA security officer.
23. HIPAA: Ensure the protection of all PHI and compliance of HIPAA guidelines amongst staff under your supervision. Conduct quarterly walkthroughs, trainings, reporting of unusual occurrences as set forth by the organization. Take appropriate steps to address HIPAA concerns with staff as necessary.
24. Works extremely well under pressure, meet multiple and often competing deadlines.
25. At all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues’ clients and the community.
26. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
