Job Description

The successful candidate must be based in Eastern Cape.

Our Vaccines division is searching for a motivated and competitive pharmaceutical sales representative to become a key link between our company and healthcare professionals. You must have exceptional people skills, attention to detail, and a persuasive personality to thrive in this fast-paced position. As a vaccine’s sales rep, you will need to promote our products to address customer needs. Your goal will be to increase the visibility of our products and to maximize sales.

The Sales representative is a field-based position and will be in daily contact with the customers in a field. 

Job Description and Responsibilities

Assess client needs and promote suitable products.

Meet with targeted doctors and health care providers and utilize sales skills to persuade them to prescribe the company’s products.

Attend sales meetings, conference calls and training sessions.

Build strong business relationship with customers, leading to satisfaction and loyalty.

Work closely together with the Vaccines Cross Functional Team to achieve territory portfolio objectives.

Share all information with colleagues through the CRM system and other tools to ensure that the customer information is continuously updated in the CRM system.

Use data from the CRM as well as other data and own experience to ensure an update of the customer’s information.

Promote products ethically and within compliance based on company’s sales process and approved marketing strategy.

Arranging appointments with Doctors, Pharmacists, Hospitals, Nurses, Netcare Mother & Baby Wellness Clinics and all relevant stakeholders

Making presentations to targeted doctors and medical personnel for this portfolio.

Organizing continued medical education (CME) for doctors and other medical staff.

Perform training on company brands to medical professionals and accounts.

Adhere to operational effectiveness requirements.

Managing budgets (for catering, outside speakers, conferences, hospitality, etc.);.

To understand the dynamics of private and government sectors doctors and institutions.

To be able to respond timeously on business issues within a short timeframe.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively under intense stress and pressure especially in a crisis/issue.

Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and health issues

Position Qualifications:

Degree/diploma in the medical or para-medical field and/or BSC Degree will be advantageous.

Required Experience and Skills – Minimum of 2 Years Pharmaceutical selling experience.
