As a Routing Analyst, you’ll apply your hands-on experience at sea to optimize vessel routes, ensuring efficiency and safety while adding real value to the industry. Stay connected to the world you know while charting a new career path—one where your expertise truly makes a difference.In this role, you’ll provide critical insights to customers, helping them mitigate risks and make informed operational decisions. You’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating vessel movements, tracking certifications, monitoring weather conditions, and collaborating with maritime agencies and the Coast Guard.Your role will include:• Monitor and analyse the weather through interpreting weather models, observations, radar and satellite imagery. • Issue route advices, taking navigational constraints for the specific vessel and route into consideration. • Provide route comparison and scenario analysis through consultancy.• Produce Post Voyage Analysis, interpreting and applying relevant charter parties. • Provide consultancy and explanation to customers following PVAR delivery • Produce contra PVARs, including basic understanding of competitors analysis and the strength and weaknesses of both ABB and competitor methodology. • Utilize a variety of internal applications and have deep product knowledge to provide timely insights to shipping customers routes and voyages. • Handle advanced customer queries, both via mail and phone • Contribute to improvement. Participate in improvement plans, and actively contribute to the quality of our work. The TeamYou’ll be part of the Marine & Ports department, where we develop cutting-edge electrical and automation solutions for the maritime industry. Our technology in energy, drives, and automation has set industry standards for decades. Within this department, you’ll work in the operations team, collaborating with experts who share your passion for maritime excellence.
Qualifications for the roleWe’re looking for someone with:\t2+ years of experience in the maritime field, ideally as an Officer. Experience as a Route Analyst is a plus.\tExpertise in route planning and coordinating vessel movements from one location to another.\tStrong collaboration skills with maritime agencies, operations departments and vessel crew.\tA proactive mindset and a passion for improving operational plans.\tA hands-on attitude, high sense of responsibility, and customer-oriented approach.\tFluent English communication skills.
