Production Worker (Part-Time 1st Shift)

The Production Worker will assist the designated machine operators on the production line with a variety of functions including but not limited to container turning and alignment on a moving conveyor, keeping work area clean and free of debris, washing and sanitizing ingredient barrels and buckets, hand stacking cases and creating pallets. Their duties may be carried out manually or with the use of machinery and equipment.

**Job Description:**
**Schedule:** Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed:
* 1st Shift: 6:30pm - 2:30pm
* 4 days per week, 30 hours max
**Work Location:** 5310 Historic Old Hwy 90, San Antonio, TX 78227

**Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:**
*1st Shift: $18.25 per hour
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
+ Inspect, straighten, turn or align product containers on a conveyor
+ Lift and place cases onto pallets in a predetermined pattern
+ Verify that the pallet load consists of all the same cases of product
+ Remove empty boxes and place in cardboard compactor
+ Sweep, remove trash and maintain area as needed Remove debris and waste from floors, including broken glass and product
+ Assist process line operators with various functions including but not limited to keeping line stocked with caps, labels and other materials
+ Assist with sanitizing drums, barrels and buckets
+ Prepping and moving pre-weighed kits from staging area to kitchen with hand pallet jack
+ Know and practice all safety and GMP requirements in assigned work area
+ Always wear all required safety equipment, personal protective equipment, including but not limited to steel-toe safety shoes and hearing protection in designated areas
+ Be available to work overtime, holidays and weekends as production requires
+ Ability to work within a team environment to meet established production standards and goals
+ Ability to communicate problems or issues that are occurring on the production floor to the production management team
+ Possess and maintain a good attendance and work record
+ Adherence to all plant policies
+ Adapt to changes as needed
+ Other duties as assigned
**Job Requirements:**
+ Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food manufacturing
+ Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate efficiently in English with a wide variety of people and personalities
+ Must read follow verbal and written instructions and company-posted work and safety policies, procedures and programs
**Minimum Physical Requirements:**
+ Walk/stand for the duration of a 8-12-hour shift and be able to twist, bend, stoop and reach
+ Push/pull objects as required
+ Lift objects weighing 25-50 lbs. frequently
+ Hear and talk on an ongoing basis in an atmosphere of moderate and loud noise
+ Work in cold, warm, hot, humid and/or wet conditions
+ Climb stairs, ladders, and heights as required
