Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Dryer Operator who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products. As the last person to handle the garments before they are sent to customers, you will be responsible for catching any mistakes, preventing mis-shipments, and ensuring high standards of quality control.

ResponsibilitiesCatching garments as they exit the dryers/ovens.Performing quality control checks.Reading and interpreting work orders.Verifying counts of garments.Sorting garments by size, style, color, and order.Tagging garments using a tagging gun.Kitting and bundling garments to prepare for shipment.Essential SkillsBasic math and counting skills.Ability to read and interpret work orders.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Capability to stand on feet for 10 hours a day.Experience in labor, manufacturing, warehouse, or production.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious quality control experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our work environment is climate-controlled, though it can reach up to 80 degrees in the summer. While the environment is fairly clean, you can expect to get dirty on a daily basis. The standard shift is 7:00 AM to 4:40 PM, with mandatory overtime currently in effect. Saturday overtime is not mandatory at this time but may become required. The dress code allows for sweatpants, jeans, and shorts, along with T-shirts and cut-offs, provided minimal stomach is visible. Closed-toe shoes are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
