ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

Follow & Adhere to all Safety Rules & Policies Understand machine set-up techniques for the Die Cutter – (i.e.: print plates and die boards) Inspect all dies before and after each run to ensure that any and ALL repairs are made BEFORE the next run Monitor and adhere to specifications for each customer order and ensure print quality is in accordance with all required specifications Maximize the utilization of the equipment by operating the machinery at peak capacity and speed Crosstrain on other machines when possible and necessary Completion of required reports in an accurate and timely manner including:  Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data, and any other reporting requested by your Supervisor Completing Maintenance Work Orders for necessary repairs.  Preventative Maintenance Installation of Die Boards and Print Plates Training for new hires to the machine center Ensuring the crew is working safely and report any safety issues to your Supervisor

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:

High school diploma or GED Experience working in a manufacturing environment

PREFERRED EXPEREINCE:

Experience in the corrugated box industry

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate. Ability to apply concepts of High School Math Excellent communication skills. Ability to solve practical problems and not so practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
