Job Description
This individual provides work leadership to the production training team. Serves as a primary resource to both Motorolan and Contractor associates in all training needs and documentation support. Serves as the primary point of contact for all training needs in production
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating, training employees and contract associates on all manufacturing processes in the department.
Create training plans for the site operations.Directly interact with production group leaders on the area training and documentation needs.Directly interact with engineering teams in the area of training and documentation needs. Provide daily priorities to the training staff.Help develop “in-line” training for the training team. Certify PIV drivers.Create the documentation for each process and workstation in a given manufacturing department.Maintain training and validation records in all processes ensuring a flexible workforce. Assist New Product Introduction with training and documentation of Standard Work Instructions prior to transitioning to production.Perform and review time studies on processes to reduce cycle time and improve cost.Investigate and root cause workmanship quality issues.Work with engineering on any new process updates and improvements.Write and post operator alerts.Work directly with EHS team for all documentation and training needs.Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen, ensuring the value stream is achieving plan.Adhering to and ensuring employees, visitors and contractors are following Company safety policies and work procedures.Communicating with the Warehouse team, making requests for materials, and reporting issues.Attending meetings as necessary.Other duties as assigned.Additional Qualified Skills:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.Must be able to work with light fabrication equipment.Must be willing to be flexible and cross-trained between various positions and work various shifts in the operation based on business needs.Provide backup support as necessary.Must learn, adopt and train all lean principles including kaizens, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and waste reduction.Need the ability to identify a problem and find resolution.Qualifications: Excellent computer skills using the Windows Office and Google Office suitesAbility to evaluate PIV workforce to provide internal PIV licensees.Flexibility to work a different shift for short periods to facilitate training curriculum preferred.Knowledge of lean principles including kaizens, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and waste reduction is a plus.Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management needed.Target Base Salary Range: $36,000 - $53,900
