Production Technician III, Therapeutic Gene Editing

This position is part of the Therapeutic Gene Editing Team located in Coralville, Iowa and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Comply with current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) requirement as prescribed by FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) – including methods used in the implementation and control of manufacturing processes to produce oligonucleotides used in therapeutic applications and adhering to safety regulations, Lab SOPs, and contamination controls + Perform the synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, purification, desalting, pooling, and formulation of oligos using various techniques, use automated and manual lab equipment including limited maintenance and troubleshooting activities, and submit oligo samples for quality control tests + Accurately follow and record information in Manual Batch Records, perform transactions in SAP, assist in the organization and prioritizing of the workflow, and organize the workflow if management is not present The essential requirements of the job include: + Associate’s degree in relevant field OR high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience in relevant scientific manufacturing environment + Ability to work Monday – Thursday 10am – 9pm, with schedule adaptability to accommodate occasional after-hours production support. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (biology, biochemistry, chemistry) or related field + Previous experience in and knowledge of oligo manufacturing processes and products This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
