**Job Title: Production Technician**
**Job Description**
Ensure carriers are safely unloaded on the correct receiving line with the correct material. Responsible for following standard operating procedures for equipment, machines, and tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure that the respective receiving line is kernel cleaned before a different material/tracking number requiring a kernel clean is unloaded.
+ Stage loading area – keeping a truck staged in the lane next to the truck being unloaded.
+ Verify information on seed load ticket for accuracy and take it to Sample Building.
+ Responsible for opening the trailer doors, securing the doors open after the truck is staged, operating the pit controls, and monitoring the rate of unloading.
+ Abide by safety policies/procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while completing any work on the property.
+ Abide by lock out/tag out and other equipment safety policies/processes.
+ Maintain cleanliness of work environment (sweeping, removing debris, etc.) in work area as workload allows and as required.
+ Report any accidents, near miss incidents, potential hazards, safety violations, or other concerns to leadership team member immediately.
+ Participate in any incident/accident investigations with the Safety/Supervisor teams as necessary to find root cause of incidents.
+ Follow the direction of the Supervisors for additional work duties that may be necessary/required.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6+ months of manufacturing/industrial experience
+ Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas
+ Standing/sitting for extended periods
+ Operating machinery, repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting (minimal requirement 50 lbs.)
+ Exposure to weather and environmental conditions (e.g., heat, dust, cold)
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in production, forklift operation, manufacturing, general labor, assembly, packaging, hand tool usage, packing, heavy lifting, machine operation, and bagging
+ Regular and reliable attendance
+ Transportation to and from assignment location is the responsibility of the worker

**Work Environment**
Large corn production facility with 150+ people during busy season, ramps down to 70-80 in the off-season. Candidates will train on day shift for the first week from 6 am to 3 pm (7 am on the first day only). Depending on shift assignment, they will stay on days or move to night shift, rotating from days to nights every 4 weeks. This position will go through mid to late March, break for 6 weeks, then return to normal production schedules mid-May for the rest of the year. Working conditions may include dust, debris, slippery surfaces, inclement weather, lifting, automatic start-up of equipment, falling objects, low clearance equipment, conveyor tunnel, and sun exposure.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
