For more information, visit our website , or connect with us on LinkedIn or Twitter. **Responsibilities** **JOB SUMMARY:** Responsible for over-seeing all operating activities within the extrusion and converting production area as it relates to all extrusion and converting lines along with the training and leadership of Tech I and II and Operators. Must comply with all safety, quality, GMPs, productivity and cleanliness standards. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + Works to correct systemic line issues including generating work orders, completing experiments and general trouble shooting of PVC, IPD, UPVC, and converting. + Oversees mixing schedule and hopper inventory to be consistent with hot compound best practices and real-time line demand. + Maintains oversight of Tech’s and operators to ensure personal and food product safety, quality, and line productivity targets are being met. + (Extrusion) Assists Process Specialist changing and cleaning of dies, necks, die carts, air rings, powder seals, nip rolls, etc. + Promptly addressing maintenance and safety issues. Maintenance work orders must be completed for all maintenance work asked to be perform. + Verifies and assists in all aspects of training for all extrusion and converting personnel + Substitutes for Production Supervisor when occasions of absence occur. + Address issues with performance of production team and recommend disciplinary steps when needed. + (Extrusion) Responsible for entering production data (QF40). + All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by Supervision + Responsible for working safely, cleanly and ethically. Follow all plant PPE requirements, safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately. + Responsible for maintaining housekeeping and accuracy of recorded data on the daily cleaning logs. + Responsible for following all GMPs to assure food product safety. **Qualifications** **EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:** + Ability to lift up to 80 pounds. + Diligently assuring all safety protocols and GMPs are adhered to. + Advanced knowledge of PVC, UPVC, and Converting manufacturing procedures, products, customer needs and all manufacturing lines + Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. + Enter maintenance and safety issues in system and report them to shift supervision. + Licensed to drive forklift + Basic computer skills + Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others. + Completes a minimum of 40 hours of training annually + Supervisory/leadership training + Lean Manufacturing + Cross- training with Extrusion Process Specialist and/or all areas of Converting We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
