Production Systems Specialist
International
Position Overview
International is seeking a Production System Specialist at our Huntsville Manufacturing plant, where we machine component parts and assemble the International S13 Powertrain to support our Heavy-Duty Truck assembly plant.
The International Production System Specialist reports to the site International Way Manager and will support the International Production System strategy and execution at the site. This role partners various functions and position levels including hourly team members in assembly, machining, maintenance, materials, quality, safety, administrative and leadership roles to support continuous improvement, quality control, efficiency and safety by teaching and coaching standardized work, problem solving around production issues, using collaboration to optimize the overall production flow within the International Production System.
Responsibilities
+ Support training programs to meet specific training needs related to the International Production System for all departments and levels at the site – including Standardization, Takt, Balanced Flow, Levelled Flow, Visual Management, and Real Time Management
+ Support teaching problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes of production issues and countermeasure implementation
+ Actively support continuous improvement opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
+ Work effectively with cross functional teams to achieve company goals, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues
+ Support safety regulations and procedures, including observations and coaching
+ Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste and maximize value
+ Keep current on International Production System tools and methodology
+ Support a manufacturing environment where production currently runs Mon - Thurs 6:30AM – 5:00PM
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree
OR
+ At least 2 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field• Experience in a manufacturing environment; lean manufacturing knowledge a plus• Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment• Clear communication to share information and concerns with colleagues and supervisors• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) • Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to changing production requirements
