Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology.   **What You Will Do** + Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site. + May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations + Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques. + Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting. + Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment + Perform other duties as required **What You Bring To Freeport** + Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing + Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions **Preferred Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED + Proficient in MS Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports and other documentation + SX/EW and Leaching experience + Mobile equipment experience + Overhead crane experience + Experience with mathematic and/or numbers based tasks + Experience with chemical sample preparation and/or analysis + Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions + Experience with tedious or repetitive motions or tasks + Strong organizational and documentation skills + Ability and willingness to travel to mine sites with occasional overnight stay + Experience working in an ISO 9001/EMS 14001/OHSAS 18001 environment **What We Offer You**   The estimated pay range for this role is currently  **$20.00 - $27.00/hour** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
