The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the food processing department workforce which includes but is not limited to discipline employee evaluations and departmental meetings
Duties and Functions
Responsible for completing the weekly packaging profit and loss statement
Examines the rotation of all food products paying particular attention to expired stock and discarding outdated or spoiled items
Receives inspects and logs products for accuracy of shipment temperature and quality
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the inventory
Responsible for the assistance of food processing duties including cutting packaging printing labels feeding pulling etc
Assist in various inventory control functions including proper stocking and rotation
Perform other tasks as requested by operations manager and upper management
Responsible for working until relieved by manager This may require working longer than your scheduled work hours
Maintains organization and tracking of all departmental paperwork including inventory control sheets orders to be filled and accuracy of placed/received orders
Good attendance and adherence to work schedule
Adherence to all good manufacturing practices company policies and food safety and quality assurance procedures
Working hours
Monday to Sunday 1 weekend on/ 1 weekend off
Requirements
Strong Buying experience
Ability to manage a production department
Ability to manage people
Previous processing experience required
Ability to work independently
Ability to perform work assignments at an acceptable productivity level
Other duties may be assigned
Must be proficient in basic MS Office functions
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
