The Sheet Metal Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the manufacturing process of metal products, specifically those made with sheet metal forming techniques. This role aims to ensure efficient, high-quality production within established deadlines, managing both the workforce and resources needed to meet production goals.
**Responsabilidades**
**Main Responsibilities:**
+ Coordinate daily activities in the production area, ensuring that metal products are manufactured according to quality standards and technical specifications.
+ Supervise the proper use of machinery for sheet metal processing (presses, punchers, lasers, shears, etc.).
+ Ensure compliance with design specifications and tolerances in the manufactured parts.
+ Supervise, direct, and motivate the production team, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
+ Train personnel on production processes, proper machine and tool use, and safety regulations.
+ Conduct periodic performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve productivity.
+ Monitor product quality at each stage of production and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and requirements.
+ Resolve quality issues by making adjustments in processes when necessary and proposing corrective actions.
+ Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and maintain accurate inspection records.
+ Identify and propose process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize costs.
+ Manage the proper use of raw materials and resources, preventing waste and ensuring continuous production flow.
+ Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and logistics, to resolve any issues related to machinery or materials.
+ Ensure compliance with all industrial safety, environmental, and quality regulations during production processes.
+ Promote a safety culture in the work area, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety practices.
+ Report any work-related incidents or accidents in accordance with company policies.
+ Coordinate production scheduling based on work orders, delivery deadlines, and material availability.
+ Ensure production is completed within the established timelines, meeting productivity and efficiency objectives.
+ Supervise the preparation of production orders and workflow to maximize plant capacity.
+ Control inventory levels of materials, ensuring continuous availability of raw materials (sheet metal) for production without overstocking.
+ Coordinate with the purchasing department to make necessary acquisitions based on production demands.
**Requirements:**
+ University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related fields.
+ Advanced conversational English.
+ Experience in the Metalworking industry.
+ Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the metal industry, preferably in sheet metal production or metal component manufacturing.
**Knowledge:**
+ Knowledge of sheet metal forming processes, such as cutting, bending, punching, and welding.
+ Familiarity with tools and machines used in the sheet metal industry (presses, lasers, shears, etc.).
+ Knowledge of quality control techniques and ISO standards (if applicable).
