Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our production team during the 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday). The Production Supervisor will oversee the performance of production employees and ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and on-time delivery. This role involves direct interaction with the production process, including material handling and shipping/receiving.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise team to meet company expectations of safety rules and regulations, quality standards, customer satisfaction, productivity, and on-time delivery.Supervise and coordinate activities of saw production, material handling, and shipping/receiving.Maintain records related to safety, production, attendance, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions, and report to the Operations Manager.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality to increase overall efficiency.Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist production employees in resolving issues.Reassign tasks and change work roles of team members as necessary.Coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure smooth operations during the assigned shift.Control expenditures of departmental consumables, including all packaging supplies.Report notable events or problems to the proper level of management.Work closely with the Operations Manager to meet organizational goals.Train team members on the latest revisions to company policies and procedures.Ensure orders are processed per specification and on time without exception.Operate production equipment as required.Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentTwo or more years of related experience working with saws or machineryOne or more years of managerial/supervisory experienceGood written and oral communication skillsGood organizational, problem-solving, and time management skillsAbility to read and calculate numbers and dataAbility to measure using different toolsOperate with high integrity and ensure the same standards from subordinatesStrong work ethic; initiative-takingCNC Machine shop experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsOne or more years in the metals service center industryPhysical ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, using hands or fingers, kneeling/crawling/twisting/balancing, bending/climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistancePreferred experience in machine shop aviation Experience in production supervision, scheduling, overseeing candidates, managing people, conflict resolution, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturingWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes a production and machining facility primarily focused on aviation parts. Frequent visual and auditory attention is required to monitor material being cut on the saw. The role requires continuous use of a computer to receive and give information. Exposure to hazardous machinery, sharp tools, proximity to moving objects, noise, heat, and humidity is expected. Good working conditions are maintained to ensure safety and efficiency.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
PTO offered after 6 months of employment. 6 months they get 72 hours of PTO
Holiday pay for 1 month of hire. (9 paid holidays) Thanksgiving and day after, Christmas Eve and Day, New Years Eve and Day
