**Production Supervisor** **,** **Port Angeles** **,** **WA** When you join our team as a **Production Supervisor** , you will be responsible for safe, overall operation and performance of the sawmill or planermill and will work closely with other areas of the business to optimize the production performance of the operation. **What You'll Do** + Maintain the higheststandards with respect to safety by leading by example and ensuring thatthe team follows all policies, procedures, practices and regulations. + Manage and identifyopportunities to improve productivity, reduce cost, and maximize thequality, value, and recovery of lumber produced. + Oversee manufacturingquality, meeting product specifications and customer expectations whilemaximizing outturns. + Engage production andmaintenance workers to achieve targets, meet expectations, and addressdeficiencies in a productive and professional manner. + Ensure quality standardsare met throughout the manufacturing process. + Foster a culture of openand respectful communication. + Engage and support teammembers to achieve excellence with continuous improvement in all areas ofthe business. **What You Offer** + Post-secondary education is an asset (minimum high school diploma). + 3 years of sawmill, planer or related experience is preferred. + Minimum 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred. + Knowledge and experience within lumber manufacturing and sawmill operations is an asset. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment. + Strong safety leadership abilities. + Proven leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Desire to lead and support a talented team in a fast-paced environment. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Detail and results oriented. + Ability to function under pressure. + Must be flexible to work any shift as needed based on business needs. + Strong computer competency, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel. **Who We Are** Interfor is a growth-orientedforestproducts company, operating in all major forest products markets across North America.
