**Job Title:** Production Supervisor **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to provide strong leadership and presence on the shop floor, ensuring successful production by managing employees, machines, and materials. The Team Leader oversees all production leads, while production employees report to the Team Leader for scheduling, time card management, and disciplinary discussions. **Responsibilities:** + Support leads in ensuring the availability of all tooling, machines, documents, and PPE. + Step in for leads during absenteeism or vacation as needed. + Ensure the availability of required raw materials for production. + Ensure finished goods are available in the shipping area as scheduled. + Strictly follow processes that cross boundaries between lead areas (WIP, paperwork, etc.). + Adhere to HR standards (time clock, disciplinary actions, etc.). + Collate data provided by leads for all KPIs (quality, production output, etc.). + Lead pre-shift meetings with leads (LPMS Loop 2). + Generate KPI reports for leads to review with their teams during shift meetings. + React quickly when leads escalate problems. + Escalate unresolved issues to the Production Manager. + Coach leads and work alongside them to identify and eliminate waste in processes. + Find better ways to visualize and follow standards pertinent to the role of the supervisor and lead. + Use simple problem-solving techniques to find root causes of problems and solve them with the team. + Use 5S to improve productivity and reduce process variation. + Work with leads and other supervisors to optimize cross-plant flows of people and materials. + Train leads on their duties and coach them to develop leadership skills. + Engage with leads and team members, showing appreciation for their efforts to improve themselves, their areas, and the company. **Essential Skills:** + Supervision + Production supervision + Continuous improvement + Supervisory skills + Process improvement + Root cause analysis + Lean manufacturing **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Production supervision + Process improvement + Training development **Why Work Here:** + $1 increase upon conversion to full-time status. + Bonus opportunity after 6 months of active service. + Insurance benefits starting on the 1st of the month following full-time hire date. + HSA & PPO plans offered. + Pro-rated vacation upon full-time status based on start date. + $75.00 monthly perfect attendance bonus. + Personal days earned based on quarterly perfect attendance. + 401K with matching 50% (up to 6% max). + Company-paid Life Insurance and short-term disability. + $2.00 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift. + Company-paid uniforms. + Safety shoe and glass voucher after probationary period. **Work Environment:** This position is based in a manufacturing environment. **Job Type & Location:** This is a position based out of Columbus, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
