We are looking for a Production Supervsor to join our Group and support our Level & Pressure team members in driving World Class Excellence within our Automation Instrumentation Production Center. Within L&P, we utilize state-of-the-art production techniques and manufacturing technologies to ensure the quality of the instrumentation produced, as well as the safety of employees and the environment.

We’re looking for a dynamic individual who excels at managing operations, motivating teams, and maintaining high standards to drive our production success. 

 

Which tasks will you perform?  

You will:  

Directly supervise up to 25 employees. Employees could be from several departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and coaching employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

Considering this Supervisor may have employees in several departments’ familiarity with plantwide needs, goals, KPI’s, etc., is needed. 

Main Safety responder and coordinator for the employees working in assigned area  

Actively participate as a member of the Leadership Team 

Coordinate & lead cross functional core team. 

Train and develop new employees. 

Analyze, resolve, and/or assist in solving work problems. 

Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals. 

Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. 

Interface with production planning to determine scheduling. 

Determine, establish, and assign work to meet production schedules. 

Appropriately use Lean, Kaizen, and SMART4Q guidelines towards the most effective value stream in support of our customers and KPI’s. 

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 

Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers; assign duties. 

Maintain the department’s quality standards. 

Provide emergency coverage of equipment or processes. 

Lead continuous improvement projects within the group. 

Balance team and individual responsibilities & contribute to building a positive team spirit 

Interface with and assist the engineering department on issues and programming and equipment malfunction and maintenance of equipment. 

Additional duties as assigned 

 

What do we expect from you?​  

You:  

At least an Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) in Supervision, Engineering, Business, Machining Technology, or similar field and seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Three (3) to five (5) years related experience in a supervisory role

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals 

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence  

Capability of communicating issues clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form 

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint 

Knowledge of SAP and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) 

Excellent problem-solving abilities 

Ability to gain trust and credibility with workforce. 

Equipment troubleshooting experience would be very beneficial for this role.
