**POSITION SUMMARY**
Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, a leading manufacturer of specialized glass contact refractories, is currently accepting applications for a IPT Supervisor at its Corhart facility located in Buckhannon, WV.
The IPT Supervisor reports to the IPT Manager and is accountable for all aspects of area performance including safety, quality, throughput, productivity, and other cost measures. The IPT Supervisor must lead by example and coach the IPT’s hourly associates to establish and maintain a positive, engaged team sentiment consistent with the application of Saint-Gobain’s Principles of Conduct and Action. This individual is expected to develop high morale and motivation of subordinates through positive leadership, sincere interest and recognition, reliable communication, fair appraisals of performance and sound counseling within established Corhart policies.
The IPT Supervisor is expected to empower hourly associates to make decisions, innovate, and work in a continuous learning environment through implementation of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools. Identifying issues, making tough decisions, delegating appropriately, and following- up to ensure all objectives are achieved characterizes this leadership position. This position is accountable for IPT deployment, measurement, and maturation of WCM standards in support of site improvement activities. Additionally, it is expected that the Supervisor will utilize lean manufacturing techniques on a consistent basis to identify and remove non-value added activities, and in the implementation of quality systems that prevent and detect defects.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Models Corhart guidelines to develop and maintain a high performance team culture and ensure all hourly associates model the same
+ Coaches and mentors hourly associates by influencing behaviors to execute and meet assigned responsibilities that directly improve individual, team, and IPT performance which includes achieving an accident free workplace & world- class machine yield, performance, and availability
+ Collaborates with the appropriate pillar leads assigned to the IPT to coordinate hourly associate participation and implementation of WCM / Lean projects as part of daily work expectations within the IPT culture
+ Promotes and enhances positive union/management relationships. Assist in the administration of the collective bargaining agreement and personnel issues
+ Responsible for coaching and leading hourly associates to drive World Class Standards through WCM efforts, which include Safety, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), People Development (PD), Quick Kaizens and other WCM tools as appropriate
+ Coaches hourly associates to identify inefficiencies or gaps in expected performance and utilizes facilitation skills as a method of engagement in the development of systems and processes to streamline the operation utilizing WCM / Lean tools in order drive a culture of continuous improvement
+ Manages time records, OT equalization, attendance reporting, disciplinary action / reporting of hourly personnel
+ Collaborates with the IPT Equipment Reliability Engineer to review work orders, autonomous & and preventive measures, losses, countermeasures, and sustaining actions
+ Ensures all quality testing is completed to required standards by hourly personnel and routinely audits quality checks
+ Audits sustainment systems and compliance to autonomous maintenance and 5S standards
+ Identifies inefficiencies or gaps and utilizes skills to develop systems and processes to streamline where necessary utilizing WCM/Lean tools to drive culture of continuous improvement
**ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY**
+ Behavioral role model for all EHS standards; 5S & workplace organization practices; plant rules and safety regulations; and Saint Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.
+ Accountable for fostering a safe IPT work culture. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and quickly address them to prevent injuries and property loss. Conducts safety audits, investigations, and job safety analysis on a regular basis
+ Partners with IST leaders to continuously improve EHS culture, awareness and accountability systems by leading Pillar activities, participating in EHS inspections, self-assessments, and audits
+ Promotes, develops and mentors behavioral EHS initiatives to drive an autonomous EHS culture and objectively demonstrates commitment through SMAT / EMAT assessments.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
+ Technical degree/diploma and/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience
+ Good understanding of mathematics and analytical methods
+ Two (2) years of post-high school education, preferred.
**Work Experience**
+ 3+ years of manufacturing experience leading people
+ Sound knowledge and demonstrable success of providing leadership in a unionized environment
+ Previous experience in high performance teams or self-directed teams in a production environment, preferred
**PRACTICAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE**
+ Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts or World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
+ Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and relevant industry standard practices
+ Experience participating in audits and implementing quality management systemS
+ Computer proficiency, including a strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Demonstrated & understanding of ceramic materials and applications
+ Experience in change management and continuous improvement projects
**LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS**
+ Lean/Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, preferred
