Production Supervisor
Production Supervisor City Narrows State/Province Virginia Overview:

The Production Supervisor/Team Captain for Acid Recovery, Anhydride Manufacturing and Wastewater Treatment unit is expected to lead their 24/7 team to make in specification product while embracing the four core principles: Avoiding harm to people or environment, make in specification product, maintain reliability, and develop the process experts (operators).

Responsibilities:

Lead the team to meet leading and lagging measures and KPI's that are part of the core's scorecard. 

Key activities include:

Provide guidance and set priorities to achieve the production schedule and 4 core principlesReview process, product, equipment related data critical to achieve SQRE plan (Stewardship, Quality, Reliability, Engagement)Short and mid term resource planning taking into account: resource need per production schedule, absenteeism. Develop people regarding their key abilities and attributes Provide timely and meaningful performance feedback to all team membersFollow up on issues from the previous shiftsCommunicate information from the core team (ex. tool box briefing, etc.)Perform proper handover to the next Team Captain and Daily Executional Leader on emerging Quality, Environmental, or Reliability issues.  Facilitate SQRE huddlesField presence, safety focus and leader of the team, knowledge provider, decision maker after the team completes troubleshooting effort, work order notification owner for the teamBypass approval/notifications, Emergency and Security risks, C level RCAs. Coordinates SOP updates with Learning FacilitatorCoordinates team member participation and participates in MOC, PHA, RCA etc. SessionsIdentifies when training is needed/required for 24/7 team and ensures opportunities are available for team members to obtain the knowledge Ensure compliance to Environmental and Safety regulatory requirementsWork with Process Expert and Manufacturing Expert to improve unit performance.Process Safety Officer for 24/7 Team

 

Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDChemical manufacturing experience preferred Prior leadership experience preferredAble to communicate effectively, build effective team, manage complexity, understand team members knowledge, skills and abilities. Identify emerging issues, make sound decisions,  and must be able to motivate
