Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production, processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Service in Longmeadow.You will be mainly accountable for:• Living ABB’s core values of HSE and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.• Maintain working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and efficiency.• Organizes and distributes resources to meet production targets effectively and efficiently.• Leads ability planning and resource optimization for the assigned production unit or line.• Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.• Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.• Identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.• Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.• Provides leadership and development to your team to create a skilled work group.• Guides and motivates your team, supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing & validation, engineering, as applicable in the local organization.

Qualifications for the role

National Diploma in Mechanical or ElectricalYou are immersed in Engineering highly skilled in production.You have 2+ years of experience in medium to high voltage electrical distribution products and supervision of staffHave proven history and extensive knowledge of medium to high voltage electrical distribution products.Must be trade qualified and interpret mechanical, electrical drawings, and wiring.Must be computer literatePreference will be given to employment equity candidate.
