Production Supervisor - 2nd shift Pads

Eaton’s ESSG CPSD PDD Power Delivery Division division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift Pads.

 

This role is based in Nacogdoches, TX. No relocation assistance will be provided. 

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Production Supervisor is located in Nacogdoches, Texas. As a Production Supervisor, you will direct departmental activities and initiate/participate in cross-functional activities to accomplish the objectives of safety, quality, on time delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous improvement, which focuses on removing cost from the business.


In this function you will:

 

Drive Zero Incident Safety CultureAlign Eaton Quality System priorities to department requirementsManage department operations and prioritize production requirementsFacilitate shift activity among other department supervisors           Foster a culture of continuous improvement and contributing towards becoming a lean organizationInitiate and coordinate assistance as required from support departmentsCreate the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed, countermeasures implemented, and the area is compliant with safety requirementsReview daily in-process inventory reports to determine and assign prioritiesAssign daily work schedules for direct and indirect labor to meet business goalsMonitor and provide coaching follow-up for performance regarding safety, quality, and productivityMonitor machinery, equipment and facility and initiate maintenance work orders, as required, to ensure efficient, effective, and safe working conditionsCoordinate and maintain associate clerical files regarding attendance, overtime equalization, vacation, training, and time-off requestsManage department expense budgetsConduct daily tier meetings regarding communications, department and plant concerns, and policy interpretationProvide training resources within the departmentLead cross functional team to improve processes and meet plant objectives Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/operations environment and 1 year of leadership experience OR High School Diploma/ GED from an accredited institution with 10 years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment and 2 years of leadership experienceMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX will be considered.  Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Working knowledge of problem-solving tools and lean manufacturing practices – i.e. 5 Why’s, Fishbone diagrams, Brainstorming, Value Stream maps, 8D, A3, 5S+Experience in large manufacturing environmentsSAP ExperienceSix sigma/ green belt certification3+ years leadership experienceExperience leading cost savings initiatives or continuous improvement efforts within cross functional teams
