Production Specialist
Aerotek
**Description**
Production specialists are tasked with refurbishing and refilling propane tanks. Tasks include:
• Washer functions – employee places tank on conveyor belt, sorting tanks as they go into ‘acceptable’ and ‘needs work’ piles. They are also responsible for removing the sleeve/peeling the label.
• Dispatching – transporting tanks that are rusty, dented, in need of paint touch-ups, etc. to proper location. This is typically a manual process; it is rare that a forklift would be used for this.
• After an employee is trained on washer functions and dispatch, employee will be trained in shotblasting, weight entry, capping (labeling), and stacking (palletizing). Long-term, there may be an opportunity to be trained in painting.
• Employee will also contribute to stacking completed tanks for departure.
• Throughout all steps of the process, employees should do regular quality checks to ensure tanks have no leaks, weight issues, sleeve issues, paint issues, etc.
