**Job Title: Production Specialist** **Job Description** Production specialists are tasked with refurbishing and refilling propane tanks. Tasks include handling washer functions, dispatching, shotblasting, weight entry, capping (labeling), and stacking (palletizing). Employees perform regular quality checks to ensure tanks are free of leaks, weight issues, sleeve issues, and paint issues. **Responsibilities** + Place tanks on conveyor belt, sorting them into 'acceptable' and 'needs work' piles. + Remove sleeves and peel labels from tanks. + Transport rusty, dented, or paint-needed tanks to the proper location manually. + Receive training in shotblasting, weight entry, capping (labeling), and stacking (palletizing). + Contribute to stacking completed tanks for departure. + Perform regular quality checks throughout the process to ensure tanks meet quality standards. **Essential Skills** + No previous experience required. + Willingness to lift 35-65lbs repetitively throughout the shift. + Ability to work regardless of weather conditions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Comfortable working in a mix of indoor and outdoor conditions. + Willingness to help out in every department and learn new steps. + Ability to carry one tank per hand regularly throughout the shift (35-65lbs repetitively). + Required to bring own steel toes. **Shift & Pay** + 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 6AM-4:30PM // **$17.50** + 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 6PM-4:30AM // **$18.50** **Work Environment** The work environment includes a covered building with open doors, making it feel like outdoors. It is very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, as it is not climate-controlled. Shifts are Monday/Tuesday 6AM-4:30PM or 6PM-4:30AM, or Wednesday/Thursday 6AM-4:30PM or 6PM-4:30AM. PPE, including winter gloves, is provided at the site, but employees must bring their own steel toes. Relatives cannot work on the same shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position 15 minutes outside of Logansport, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
