Job Overview
The Production Scheduling Supervisor- Make works closely with plant leadership, demand planning, procurement, transportation, and sales to coordinate and execute production plans. This role will oversee the production scheduling and inventory of all raw materials and finished goods.
Job Responsibilities Leads the production scheduling process, scheduling production orders to packaging lines to optimize efficiency & cost, while maximizing service levels. Work with production to clear the Cost of Goods Issued (COGI’s). Monitor the “days on hand” inventory to forestall outages Perform all necessary system transactions to support the movement of packaging using approved processes. Post all counts (pkg./Finished Goods/Drive goods) in the system. Alert procurement, plant personnel and transportation when needed. Monitor virtual bins. Monitor age of product of FG, work with MDG to adjust safety stock to prevent FG from becoming too old to ship. Provide direction to others with regard to inventory/warehousing issues Responsible for regular scheduled continuous counts of all inventory Conduct End of Year (EOY) Physical Inventory with auditor on site Perform daily system functions as assigned or requested. Coordinate order changes between plants. Work closely with production supervisors, communicating updates and facilitating a smooth product flow. Plan schedules efficiently, minimizing changeovers. Review schedule and receipts for incoming Milk to plant Organize, lead and supervise Production Scheduler Provide assistance, coaching and guidance to plant; fostering an environment that allows them to accomplish daily tasks and achieve goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed. Administer employee discipline as needed. Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager. The pay for this position is $70,700.00-$102,900.00. All offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees and certifications, and internal equity. This range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years production scheduling or inventory management experience. Minimum of 1 year leading people or projects. Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment. Ability to make decisions based on standard practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve. SAP experience MES experience. Basic computer skills.
