We have an exciting opportunity for a **Production Scheduler** to join our team at our **Tipton, Indiana (Soybean/Wheat)** production facility.
In this role, you will be accountable for scheduling production runs, keeping production plans in front of the team and the inventory of direct material needs at the site. You will communicate with on-site Lab Operators, Warehouse Inventory & Logistics Coordinators, as well as the Site Leadership team on a day-to-day basis for location operational needs. You will also communicate daily with the Supply Chain team in Johnston, IA as well as with teams at other locations and perform the duties of a Production Technician when needed.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Maintain the run schedule and calendar for both new crop and rework by working closely with production, field, maintenance, quality, and the Supply Team.
+ Utilize systems such as SAP/R3 as a fundamental basis of performing job.
+ Provide coordination of expedites with customer service, Supply Team, and vendors using systems.
+ Proactively plan to enable orders & services to be delivered on time.
+ Work with Scheduling and Receiving team to optimize inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods and packaging while meeting production needs.
+ Supply information to customer service and the Supply Team regarding status of all order fulfillment activities.
+ Coordinate production runs with inter-company schedulers to optimize network efficiencies and meet network on-time dates for Clockwork, Adaptive, and In-season schedules.
+ Develop scheduling metrics and utilize problem solving tools to determine root cause of inefficiencies caused by scheduling.
+ Stay up to date and lead teams on safety and quality documentation and provide training as needed to ensure adherence.
+ Gather data for future aid in continuous improvement projects.
+ Complete and maintain records in accordance with the Corteva Records Retention Policy.
+ Backing up/assisting with corn scheduling as needed.
+ Various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
**Education:**
+ You have a high school diploma or equivalent
**What Skills You Need:**
+ You possess a minimum of one (1) year of Manufacturing, Agriculture, Shipping, or Logistics experience
+ Value the safety of yourself and your co-workers and will eagerly participate in safe work practices, on-the-job safety, and work safety programs
+ Willing and able to read and abide by quality plans and drive ownership with internal teams
+ Willing and able to work in a variety of areas (plant, warehouse)

+ You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
+ You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: climb and/or work in elevated areas; stand and sit for extended periods; work outdoors and indoors within hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
+ Chilly warehouse? Dusty fields? No problem! You love to get out there and work hard in different environments! You are also willing and able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs. and perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
+ You have a valid US Driver’s License
+ You are comfortable with technology and possess excellent computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required
+ You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
+ Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
+ You understand that delivering to our customers on time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours, which can include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand
**What Makes You Stand Out:**
+ Two-Year Technical or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
+ You possess a minimum of two (2) years Logistics, Supply Chain, Production/Operations, or other related planning and scheduling experience in lieu of formal education
+ Experience with SAP (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory
+ Knowledge or experience with Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies
+ Experience leading programs and/or processes
+ General agriculture knowledge and/or previous experience
