What you will do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking highly skilled and experienced Production Planning Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with a strong focus on continuous improvement to join our center of excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our production planning processes, driving efficiency, and implementing best practices to enhance overall operational performance across our manufacturing sites. The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of production planning and a passion for continuous improvement methodologies.
Develop and implement production planning processes to optimize manufacturing processes, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency. (e.g. Production Scheduling, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and Sales, Inventory & Operations Execution (SIOE))Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to enhance production planning processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality to ensure alignment and integration of production planning activities.Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving to address production planning challenges and implement corrective actions.Provide expert guidance on capacity planning, inventory management, and production scheduling processes to support business objectives.Train and mentor team members on production planning processes and continuous improvement techniques to build organizational capability.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in production planning and continuous improvement.Develop and maintain documentation for production planning processes and continuous improvement initiatives.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience in Supply Chain and/or Production Planning: Or an advanced degree and 5 years of experience.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of production planning principles, practices, and technologies.Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.Proficiency in production planning software and tools (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S4 Hana, APO).APICS / ASCM certification.Project management experience and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.What is my role type? This role is:
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
