The Production Planner schedules, and coordinates the flow of work and materials to drive supply chain sources within or between departments according to the production schedule.

Responsibilities Resolve the day-to-day issues within Production Control and with other departments;Confer with department management to determine progress of work and completion dates;Provide updates on all programs to Management and report any issues that may impact production schedule;Continuous improvement of processes and procedures;Place purchase requests for inventory materials;Create Manufacturing Orders and monitor shortages;Provide buy item focus list for daily standup meetings;Working with the Purchasing department to make sure that parts are ordered and arrive on time;Perform other duties as directed;Update outstanding part documentationwhen applicable. Required Experience/Qualifications High school diploma/GED or above;Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environmentMust be a highly analytical thinker and problem solver;Experience in production planning OR working experience of CostPoint. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Experience as an planner in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a manufacturing environment in planning, scheduling, and reporting;experience with ERP systems with an MRP focus (CostPoint a plus);Working knowledge of CostPointDetail oriented and organized person Special Requirements/Security Clearance Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).
