This position is responsible for capacity planning, production activity control, work order planning and scheduling, and interdepartmental communications to support the Company’s order fulfillment and gross margin objectives.
Your Opportunity:
Use ERP system to plan, schedule, execute, and ensure on-time manufacturing of finished goods and sub-assemblies in support of commercial demands.
Releases production work orders for manufacturing.
Ensure the product moves through the manufacturing and QC process efficiently and effectively.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehousing, and Quality functions to ensure that required materials are supplied on time.
Pro-actively notify Customer Service of any availability problems and opportunities to consume short-dated materials.
Create and track metrics such as forecast accuracy, schedule attainment, and product availability.
Expedite orders through different stages of the process to ensure completion and release of lots before the due dates. Update KPI metrics with the status of those lots in progress.
Adhere to ISO, GMP, GDP, SOX, and supply chain best practices requirements and guidelines.
Participate in MRB, CAPA, and new product transfer activities.
Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field, or APICS certification or relevant experience(or combination).
1 year’s experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler in a manufacturing environment.
Project management experience.
Experience within an FDA-regulated, medical device manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Preferred Requirements:
Strong knowledge of APICS concepts and/or ERP systems preferred with a concentration on Inventory, Planning, Manufacturing, and Capacity Planning.
An innate sense of urgency to influence others and get tasks done on time.
Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Carlsbad, CA is 46,100.00 - 85,500.00 USD annually.
Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
