To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Planner located in Coopersville, MI.
Reporting to the General Manager the Production Planner role will be In charge of helping materials and production functions. Plans, schedules, coordinates and approves product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.
What a typical day looks like:
Review schedule for proper supplier inventory – load vs commit.Ensures sufficient material is available to support production.Leads discussion with suppliers on material availabilityFollows through on supplier shortagesSet up of part numbers & part pricing within MRP (BaaN) systemEnsures accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in stockroom and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentationMonitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time with suppliersRepresents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with purchasing to determine adequacy of raw materials.Review schedule for proper supplier inventory – load vs commit.Ensures sufficient material is available to support production.Leads discussion with suppliers on material availabilityFollows through on supplier shortagesSet up of part numbers & part pricing within MRP (BaaN) systemEnsures accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in stockroom and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentationMonitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time with suppliersRepresents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with purchasing to determine adequacy of raw materials.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and ERP System. Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of functional standards. Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.Ability to operate data entry, office software including, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and data base system. Ability to read and analyze. Ability to write reports and work instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to question from groups of managers, suppliers and customers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
