An amazing number, but we’re always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with. **The opportunity** The production planner maintains and manages the SAP/APO (advanced planning and optimizer) application to schedule production of oral solid dosage forms and pharmaceutical devices at Teva Pharmaceuticals. This will be accomplished through the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) component. SAP/APO through the PP/DS will allow for planning and optimization of the site production while taking into account products and capacity availability. The planner will facilitate the planning of critical products while optimizing lead times, increasing on-time delivery, increasing throughput due to better management and planning of resources and reducing inventory costs. There will be regular use of the SAP Supply Chain Cockpit to provide a graphical instrument panel for managing and controlling the supply chain. The production planner will coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure that the production schedule meets the demands of external customers as well as internal processes. The position will work closely with project management to ensure scheduling production is timely in order to meet new products being implemented as well as meeting the commercial demand from customers. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments. + Proficient in understanding of production planning and coordinating a cross-functional scheduling process. + Make delivery commitments on products, which involve coordination with project management and customer commitment, checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity. + Ensure coordination with manufacturing, quality, tech services and supply chain teams to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis. + Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing and packaging planning, demand, and replenishment processes. + Monitor actual output vs. the Master Production Plan -
