Purpose of Position** Operate blade grinding equipment to produce high quality razor blades. **II. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Procedures:** + Maintain and operate blade grinding machines in a high-speed manufacturing environment. + Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls. + Maintain specifications by observing quality standards and utilizing precision measurement equipment + Resolve production problems to meet specifications and troubleshoot equipment; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. + Keep machines and work area clean. + Document actions by completing production and quality records. **III. Required Skills and Experience** + Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gages. + Must be able to correctly calculate basic mathematics equations (addition, subtraction, division, percentages). + 2 years prior manufacturing experience. Examples: CNC Operator, Press Operator, Machine Operator, Molding Technician, or Maintenance background and/or related technical certification. + Good Interpersonal Skills. + Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written. + Excellent mechanical skills, both verbal and written. + High speed machine/equipment operation. + Demonstrates problem solving & trouble shooting skills. + Basic knowledge of blue print reading. + Demonstrates quality awareness & attention to detail. **Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
