Principal accountabilities:

Produce dry salt from brine by operating the evaporator and drying equipmentOperate and maintain the boilerOperate and maintain screeners, elevators, and salt processing equipment, providing product to packagingUnderstand and advocate safety rules and regulationsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOperate forkliftOther duties as assigned


Required qualifications:

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-part employerCargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facilityAbility to work overtime, different shifts, weekends and holidays with advance noticeAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.Must be able to operate machineryHigh School diploma or EquivalentAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)


Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in production related workForklift experienceMechanical backgroundPrior experience with inventory systemsWorking knowledge of MS Office Software with an emphasis on Excel and Word
