Responsibilities + Assemble and process raw materials for production per manufacturing order and enter data via computer system. + Operate and monitor assigned equipment by following established procedures in a fast paced manufacturing environment. + Troubleshoot automated equipment and other equipment issues. Report all equipment issues to supervisor and/or maintenance. + Correctly sample, package, seal, label, palletize and wrap products. + Communicate and work closely with other departments including Quality, Auditing, Maintenance, Inventory and Research and Development. + Complete department sanitation duties. + Operate various types of heavy equipment including but not limited to a forklift. + Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. + Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure product specifications are met. + Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. + Maintain housekeeping standards. Qualifications + Minimum education required: High School diploma or equivalent. + Minimum 2+ years of related experience in Manufacturing or Production preferred; demonstrated potential will be considered + Must be 18 years in age or older. + Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. + Adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. + Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. + Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to: Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Safety Glasses, Respirator, and Hearing Protection. + Ability to stand for long periods and to climb stairs. + Ability to push, pull, and lift 55 lbs. + Ability to solve basic problems, utilize cognitive reasoning and use formulas to accurately calculate, measure/weigh proper mixtures. + The position requires excellent attendance, detailed in all aspects of the job, and a self-starter. + Ability to read, understand, follow manufacturing standard operating procedures and to maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness. + Effective time management, written and oral communication skills and attention to detail. + Ability to key/enter data into computer system.
