Production Manager II
The Production Manager II is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, coaching and mentoring staff, and driving continuous improvement to meet production goals. The position is 100% onsite, with occasional remote work for management tasks. The Production Manager supervises 3-4 supervisors and leads a team of 40+ employees across production, assembly, and pack-out.   Key Responsibilities: Coordinate daily production schedules and priorities to ensure timely, efficient pack-out of products. Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and performance. Monitor team performance across key success areas: safety, quality, efficiency, and service levels. Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, GMPs, and regulatory requirements. Optimize labor costs and drive improvements to meet departmental KPIs. Identify root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions. Support and train supervisors to build strong, capable teams. Maintain accurate records, including KPIs, attendance, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with operations leadership to streamline processes and minimize downtime. Promote clear communication and positive relationships within and across departments. Support the implementation of automating processes and production lines, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and implement KPIs and structured processes to improve departmental operations. Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout shifts. Comfortable working in a cold storage environment (40°F) for extended periods. Proficiency with production equipment, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks (certification preferred). Qualifications: 5+ years of production management experience in a fast-paced food production environment. Experience supporting and implementing automation in production processes. Proven experience with P&L management, lean processing, and Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in developing and implementing KPIs and structuring departmental operations. Expertise in inventory control and process optimization. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing demands. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems (EATEC preferred). HACCP, ServSafe, and food handling certifications preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. The company reserves the right to modify the job description as needed to meet business needs.   Shift & Schedule: 1st shift: 12:00 a.m. start time, with potential flexibility to start between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. after the probation period. Typical schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 hours daily, with weekend availability required as needed. Occasional work outside standard hours as needed. Supervises 40+ direct reports. Skills & Language Requirements: Must be fluent in Spanish and able to effectively communicate with staff. Mid-level proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP systems. Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
