Aerospace Business Units

Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions supplies engineered high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures.  Our aerospace bearing and seal products consist of rolling element airframe bearings and bearing tooling sold under the Shafer® and Tri-Roller® brand names, Teflon lined polymeric bearings sold under the Tuflite® brand name, slotted entry, split ball and split race bearings sold under the PSI® brand name, self-lubricating machinable lined bearings and coatings sold under the Rexlon® brand name and mechanical seals sold under the Cartriseal® brand name. Gears and electrical components sold under the Micro Precision® brand name. Our global customer base includes all major engine and airframe OEMs, as well as major Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers to the engine and airframe OEM’s and through our FAA approved repair stations we support major MRO and aircraft operators with repair and overhaul capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to the seal team of Production Associates and LeadsMonitor various metrics related to Safety, Productivity, Quality, delivery and Cost. Take immediate actions as needed to ensure goals are metEnsure customers receive high quality products that are delivered on timeDevelop and provide performance feedback to Associates and make various employment related decisions Drive ownership of Safety/Quality/Delivery/Cost to shop floor associates and production managersDemonstrate strategic thinking in regards manufacturing capabilities and capacitySupport lean initiatives that support manufacturing operations – Rexnord Business Systems (RBS)Utilize lean manufacturing tools & principles to reduce lead times, improve delivery and reduce costsDrive employee development and grow cross-functional skill capabilitiesIdentify and lead facility safety improvement initiativesChampion quality initiatives that support manufacturing process improvementsSupport annual capital expenditures process for capacity growth, cost reductions, etc.Lead Total Associate Engagement (TAE)Play a key role in AS9100 QMS support and leadership in the Seal Value Stream

Experience and Skill Required

“This position is subject to policies and procedures set forth by the State Department and applicants who do not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the position”.Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related technical fieldThree to five years of previous supervisory experience in manufacturing processes – preferably in a metal machining environmentStrong Analytical skillsProficiency in ExcelPrevious experience with metal Grinding, Turning, Machining and Assembly preferredExperience working with Aerospace components a plusAbility to work in fast-paced, diverse work environmentStrong exposure and demonstrated track record of manufacturing in a lean environment especially in set-up reduction and standard work implementationStrong project management approach with the ability to manage medium to long term project plans and lead teams to achieve the objectivesAbility to effectively communicate in small to medium groups of diverse backgrounds as well as effective communication with various levels of managementProven track record of utilizing sound problem solving skill set and root cause analysis as method of metric driven performance improvementsExperience/Exposure in implementing lean daily management/visual managementSelf-motivated individual with the ability to lead/drive through the change management cycleAbility to work well under pressure and handle a variety of tasks simultaneouslyOther duties as requiredISO or AS9100 Quality Management System experience is required
