Ecolab is seeking a Production Manager to join and lead a hard-working team of associates at our location. As a Senior Logistics Supervisor, you will ensure safety, quality and productivity metrics are met while leading various process improvement projects and participating in cross-functional teams on warehouse and network design initiatives.

What You Will Do:

Lead a team and holding them accountable to savings and productivity standardsOversee logistics activities including inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, order processing, and customer servicePartner with cross-functional teams in Quality, Planning, Procurement and Manufacturing to proactively identify and resolve quality and service issues relating to logistics operationsAssist in developing the site logistics budget with a focus on continuously improving year over year performance against metricsCoordinate operational redesign projects to improve performance and meet customer needsMonitor fixed assets and coordinate implementation of approved capital improvement projects in your functional areasCommunicate standard logistics metrics to direct reportsResolve quality, service, and cost issuesSupport oversight of inventory levelsAdditional Job Duties as assignedStrong manufacturing and warehouse management experience

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Work

Experience: Bachelor of Technology in Engineering or equivalent NQF level 7 in Chemistry and/or EngineeringThree year’s experience in a production supervision and/or quality control in a manufacturing and/or processing environment with project management experience.Computer skills, especially MS Office tools.Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and organizational efficiency tools are preferred (5S, KAIZEN, OEE, TPM, Lean 6 sigma)Technical experience on liquids mixing, filling and packing Technologies is an asset.Good communication skills, strong character of follow up and analytical thinking.

Experience in additional Operations functional areas

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business or a related field of studyAdvanced proficiency with SAP, Koerber, and Microsoft Office SuitePrevious project management experienceExposure to TPM and/or Lean Manufacturing principalsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to exercise independent judgement, think critically, and work well in cross-functional teams
