Perform helper’s work having to do with production operations and processing such as position light weight materials on conveyor or feed mechanism for continuous processing, or position and/or remove materials to assist Machine Operator, supply containers, light raw materials or perform other like work. Instructions given on work procedures. Under close supervision.
ResponsibilitiesInspects, cleans and packages manifolds and other parts.
Assists machine operator by running machine after set-up.
Assists operator by placing or removing finished parts from machine.
Inspects and packages parts.
May perform clean-up duties as needed.
QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months related experience and/or training is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to others.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to work in any department as needed.
Must be able to learn a variety of duties.
