Plan and control all scheduling activities Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support targets inventory turn goals and capacity utilization To ensure smooth operations throughout the production and distribution life of products Analyze and resolve scheduling issues
that would cause production delays Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely material availability and anticipate delays Organize and implement production work timelines and goals to ensure customer fulfillment and facility capability Plan and expedite bulk and conversion production
Key Performance Areas
Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime
Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders
Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval
Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution
Investigate production problem analyze root causes and provide solutions
Communicate production status to all stakeholders on regular basis
Analyze back orders current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize plan and schedule the production operations
Plan equipment material and manpower requirements to execute job orders
Coordinate with Managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines
Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses
Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications
Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives
Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines
Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences
Requirements
Matric Certificate
Production Management Qualification
A minimum of 3 years Production Coordination experience
Thorough knowledge experience and understanding of Production Planning
Thorough understanding of the TelecommunicationsICT operating environment
Code 8 drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
Proficient in Accpac
Travel as and when required
Must be willing to comply with any legislative and/or regulatory rules and regulations related to job function
Overtime may be requested as and when required
Knowledge or background within the ICT Industry would be advantageous
Computer literacy MS Office
Sound knowledge and understanding of the principles of Imports/Exports accounting procedures breakbulk production/assembly and purchasing processes
