Production Coordinator

Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $28.00. Based on experience. 

The Production Coordinator will utilize their Excel and computer skills to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with department supervisors and production leads to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. The individual will arrange schedules and regulate the flow of work within or between organizational units or businesses. Responsible for checking master schedule and work orders, establishes priorities, and changes schedules according to projects, work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and document production issues and missing components on multiple assembly lines. Create detailed reports on production status, issues, and component shortages. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant personnel. Serve as the primary point of contact between the production floor and department supervisors. Communicating effectively with production leads to address and resolve production issues. Relay information on production delays, component shortages, and other relevant updates to the appropriate departments. Distributes work orders denoting number, type and proposed completing date. Reschedules identical processes to eliminate duplicate setups. Consults with supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from engineering departments. Will use computer system to track schedule, work progress and locate production units. Utilize excel to create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking production issues and components. General reports and graphs to visualize production data. Use computer systems to enter data, update records, and manage accurate production documentation. Operate tools and equipment safely. Reports any safety issues immediately to the manager. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements/ Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. ERP, MRP, Excel, and planning experience - Required
