Production Controller

We're hiring high performers as proven as our products. Join us. ATI Millersburg Is seeking a Production Controller to join our team. This position is part of the Specialty Alloys and Components business unit based In Albany, Oregon and reports to the Director of Supply Chain. This is a day shift position and will be on site with no option for remote work. The Production Controller is responsible for ensuring the flow of material to and through our Aerospace Machine Shop and our Powder Met divisions. This role ensures that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and capable of meeting production targets, while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Primary Responsibilities + Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demands, ensuring that products are manufactured on time and within budget. + Coordinating with various departments, such as procurement, inventory, and production, to ensure all necessary materials and resources are available when needed. + Overseeing the production process to ensure that it adheres to the schedule and meets quality standards. + Identifying potential bottlenecks, delays, or issues in the production process and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions. + Managing inventory levels to ensure that raw materials, components, and finished goods are available when needed without overstocking or causing excess inventory costs. + Coordinating with the procurement team to reorder supplies as necessary. + Monitoring production costs and working to keep them within budget. + Analyzing production data to identify areas where efficiency can be improved and costs can be reduced. + Ensuring that production output meets the required quality standards. + Implementing quality control measures and working with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues that arise during production. + Preparing and presenting regular reports on production performance, including metrics such as output, efficiency, downtime, and costs. + Analyzing production data to forecast future production needs and adjusting plans accordingly. + Acting as a liaison between different departments, such as production, engineering, and sales, to ensure that everyone is aligned with the production goals. + Communicating any changes in the production schedule to relevant stakeholders. + Ensuring that the production process complies with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. + Participating in or leading initiatives to improve production processes, such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects. \#LI-DG1 Required Qualifications + Bachelors degree and at least 2 years experience in manufacturing + 3-5 years of experience in production planning and/or control areas with a solid understanding of manufacturing procedures. + Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) Security Clearance. + Candidates must be willing and able to provide information necessary to verify eligibility and receive authorization to access Controlled Unclassified information related to U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Department of Energy programs. Verification and authorization may be required from (1) the U.S. Government, (2) the security organizations of ATI’s customers in the U.S. Government’s defense and national security supply chains, or (3) ATI’s Law Department.
