A day in the life.

As an Production Associate you will:

Basic working knowledge and understanding of health insurance coverages and servicesProcess and handle daily service tasks and activitiesProvide assistance in the new business and renewal process (including marketing) as requestedKnow available markets for various industries and coverages, effectively negotiate placement with carriers, develop relationships with carriers, evaluate coverages/costPresent proposals to prospects and clients, ensure all needed coverages are included to protect the client, close the sale, deliver policiesHandle complex processing and claim situations with client and/or company personnelAssist clients with policy, coverage, and service issues as neededProven ability to organize and manage day to day and special activities in order to meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to understand and execute oral and written instructionDemonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Client Executive, Client Manager, Producer, or othersAttends unit meetings, education workshops, carrier functions, staff meetings, and social events, as neededProtects the confidentiality of all client informationFollows Standard Operating ProceduresPromote agency and insurance industry in the communityMaintain professional, technical and industry knowledge by pursuing designations, attending educational classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies and company training meetings on new productsNetwork, create relationships with potential future clients and carrier partners.  Foster existing relationships with consistent and effective touch points.Shadow existing Producers on client and prospect calls and meetings

Bachelor’s degree in business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experienceGood communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop lasting client relationshipsAbility to work well on your own and also as part of a teamAbility to develop in-depth knowledge of products and marketsSelf-confident with good business sense and professional mannerMust be able to travel as necessary for client meetings, agent conventions, and other industry meetings as neededMust learn the Agency Management System and Document Imaging SystemGeneral understanding of commercial property and casualty coveragesAptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculationsAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software applicationsAbility to manage ongoing working relationships with clients and associatesFirm, fluent grasp of English language with above average verbal, written and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibilityA shared commitment to company values; Integrity, Collaboration, Passion, Innovation, AccountabilityMust have Life & Health license or obtain within 90 days of employment
