Production Associate

Position Title:

Production Associate - Converting
(Note: This is the full-time entry level position for new manufacturing associates)
 
Pay Rate:
$20.95/Hour + Shift Differential
(After successful completion of 90-day probationary period/training, employee will be paid $23.85/Hour + Shift Differential)
 
Sign on Bonus: 
$500 after 90 Days,
$500 after 6 Months,
$500 after 1 Year and an additional bonus at 2 Years

Hourly Full-Time/3rd Shift
 
-The plant operates 24/5
 
-Must be open to working both 2nd and 3rd shift
 
-Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

The Job You Will Perform:
•    Following all safety rules and practices
•    Reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements.
•    Identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders
•    Performing assigned duties to ensure that production needs are met
•    Assisting other associates as needed, break relief for all machines
•    Accurately using tape measures and other measurements and test equipment
•    Inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications
•    Identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials
•    Accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records
•    Keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations
•    Maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
•    Maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates
•    Performing quality inspections and tests, and recording findings
•    Learning Die Cut Operator and Assistant Operator duties/responsibilities fill in as needed
•    Follow prescribed practices in all circumstances
•    Continually monitoring the quality and quantity of production
•    Using available time to prepare for set ups and runs by obtaining factory spec print and construction card sheets, obtaining and aiding tooling, ink, and other 
      supplies
•    Performing assigned clean up functions, such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and 
      picking up and aiding miscellaneous scrap     
•    Follow the direction of the machine operator to which assigned
•    Working effectively as a team member

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

•    Firsthand manufacturing/production work experience preferred.
•    Industry experience preferred.
•    Ability to identify quality defects and monitor the quality of production.
•    The ability to work in a demanding environment with minimal supervision.
•    The ability to accurately read a tape measure and use basic shop math.
•    The ability to accurately perform tasks after being explained and demonstrated, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
