Responsibilities/Qualifications

Drees Homes is seeking candidates for a Production Assistant - Permitting position for our Austin Division.

 

In this position you will perform various administrative tasks to facilitate the flow of timely and accurate information in coordination of the permitting and construction start processes.

 

 

Some responsibilities include: 

Facilitate the permitting process by gathering data and act as the liaison between the company and various municipalities and engineering officesProviding complete start packages to the BuildersAccurate and efficient processing of paperwork and information to ensure timely construction startsUpdating data in various software programsMaintain files relating to the permitting processMaintain weekly status report; Preparation and distribution of various reportsWork closely with the Architecture Department to correct any plan errors and ensuring plan sets are complete

 

Some Requirements include:

High school diploma is required; College degree is a plus Previous administrative experience Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Experience working in the homebuilding industry preferredWorking knowledge of architectural plans and/or the permitting process a plusMust be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task with accuracyProfessional communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of peopleAbility to work independently Ability to use multiple municipality portals for permitting
