Job Description

The Production Team at St Marks Studios are looking for a production assistant for an exciting 12 month placement opportunity starting as soon as possible.  

This role will support all four of the main functions: logistics, operations, finance and internal team support. You will work closely with everyone from Producers, Creatives, Client Teams right up to Head of Production assisting with pre-production shoot logistics, maintaining team admin and assisting with on-site shoot running.  

On small shoots, you will work directly with the Producers to help deliver stunts and activations, stepping up into more responsibility. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

Hiring studios and production equipment 

Booking hotels and flights for cast and crew 

Attending production meetings and making notes 

Keep the production calendar up to date with shoot dates 

Managing returning all unused props from shoots, arranging couriers for props to client and storing kept props in the store cupboard 

Responsible for keeping the store cupboard orderly recycling or donating items that have that have become redundant 

Assist with writing production schedules and distributing them to relevant cast and crew 

Assist the Production Coordinator with typing and distributing call sheets and daily reports 

Desk based research for shoots including props and populating production decks 

Other duties from time to time as appropriate and subject to workloads. 

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Excellent organisational abilities. 

Proactive and one step ahead of all tasks  

Have a ‘can-do’ attitude  

Be solutions focused 

Work well as part of a team with the ability to manage both up and down.
